Supporting local
Paws In The Park A family (and dog!) friendly event that we’ve supported for several years. It’s a great chance to meet other locals and their four-legged friends and we weer delighted to be a part of the record-breaking 2024 even, which raised over £4,000 for local dog charities!
Community litter pick It was time well spent for Team DY and the community, completing a litter pick in Crown Wood and Forest Park. Despite the unfortunately large collection of rubbish, it was very satisfying and a job well done!
School fayres and fetes We support a number of local school events through both advertising and donations. We’ve even helped to sell candy floss and burgers!
Donations to local schools During the coronavirus pandemic when education resumed through online learning, we donated laptops to our local schools. We’ve also donated books, prizes for pupil achievements and sponsorship for a new wifi network.
Bracknell Ale and Cider Festival This one we’ve been a part of for many years. It’s always a great day out at Bracknell Rugby Club, sampling cider and ales and enjoying the food and live music. It will be back in 2025!
Supporting charities
Sunninghill’s Wheelbarrow Race Duncan Yeardley were thrilled to support and take part in this annual fancy dress charity race. Organised by The Rotary Club of Ascot and in support of Ascot District Day Centre, it’s a superb community event and fun-packed day that raises thousands of pounds for this wonderful local charity.
Relay for Life The team first got involved with Relay for Life at Ascot Racecourse in 2021 and raised over £3,000 for Cancer Research UK. A fantastic event that brought the community together over a 24 hour period.
Wear it Pink We support ‘Wear it Pink’ day every year, when our team get fully involved in this colourful event in aid of Breast Cancer Now. Our very own pink ladies even made some buns!
Children in Need We raised over £1,000 by challenging ourselves to cover 100 miles in one day. The whole team got involved and took it in turns to walk, jog, run and cycle the equivalent distance of Bracknell to Wales!
Working with Youthline
Proud supporters We have long admired the incredible work carried out by the staff, counsellors and volunteers at Youthline who dedicate their time to helping young people and the adults who care for and support them, through one-to-one counselling.
Regular donations Team DY have been making a regular monthly donation to help fund their amazing work, in addition to committing our time to take part in fundraising events and supportive activities. So far we have donated a super collection of plants to help brighten up the counselling rooms and raised £350 when Tegan & Lee completed the Bournemouth Bay 10k Run.
Decorating We were kindly entrusted by Youthline to decorate their counselling rooms. ‘Strawberry’ room was completed first by a team of DY volunteers, followed by ‘Blueberry’, ‘Loganberry’ and ‘Gooseberry’ rooms. It was fantastic to see the rewarding transformations take place and now being enjoyed by counsellors and clients.
